PICK UP YOUR WICKED TICKETS!

If you purchased Wicked tickets, please pick them up on Friday, Jan. 27th between 7:30-8 AM or 3:30-4 PM in the DMS cafeteria.

TICKETS CANNOT BE REFUNDED OR REPLACED. You will have to sign for the receipt of your tickets. It is preferred that an adult pick up the tickets, but you may choose to have your student sign for them.

The show is Sunday, Feb. 12th @ 7pm in Bass concert Hall.

Students riding the bus should be at DMS by 5pm!

Theatre 7/8 Memorization Test Monday

One of the most difficult things that our Theatre 7/8 students have to do is memorize a monologue.  Students have had all week in class to work on memorization, but some have used their time more wisely than others.  All students are tested over the memorization portion of their monologue on Monday, Jan. 23rd.  Please be aware that they should be practicing over the weekend...the memorization test seriously impacts their 6 week grade.

MURDER MYSTERY FRI., JAN. 20TH

Varsity students will be attempting Deerpark's 1st ever murder mystery party on Fri., Jan. 20th.  Students have designed every aspect of their environment through choosing the time period, party theme, making costumes, invitations, decor, and our luncheon menu.  All students will come in character, but only 8 are the primary suspects for the mystery.  The remaining students will be detectives as they work together to solve the crime.  Students will be missing advisory and lunch for the party.  Mrs. Hadzi will email parents soon with details.

Congratulations to 8th gd. UIL Oral Reading Participants

Our 8th graders auditioned last week for a spot in our school's UIL Oral Reading Team. The following students have been selected. If unable to attend rehearsals or perform, the alternates will take their places. Auditions were outstanding and it was a very difficult decision. All deserve congratulations!
