FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is covered in the $45 I already paid? Entry Ticket, Lunch, & Transportation.
How much money to send with my student? Most things at Renaissance Festival, like at a theme park, cost money. Students can still enjoy shows for free and their lunch is included, but I highly recommend supplying them with extra cash for snacks, rides, and souvenirs. Rides, face painting, etc. can sometimes be as much as $10 (sometimes just $3 or $5)...it just really adds up. I recommend
students bring $25-$50 depending on how much shopping they want to do. Students, however, are responsible for their own money. If you cannot afford to give you student extra cash...it's ok...they will still have a GREAT day!
How should my student dress? Ren Fest is an outdoor festival that still happens even in the rain! Students should LAYER! It's usually cool in the morning, but warms up in the afternoon. Last year I wore, jeans, t shirt, vest, and jacket. Please check the weather and dress
accordingly. PLEASE WEAR TENNIS SHOES, or something as equally comfortable!
Costumes Students may certainly wear Renaissance costumes if they choose. I have some in our theatre inventory, but not a lot. Students can borrow, or bring/make their own. IF STUDENTS WEAR COSTUMES, please bring a comfortable change of clothes--students often get cold when they where costumes, or crave something "comfy" for the long 3 hour bus ride. Again, PLEASE WEAR TENNIS SHOES, or something as equally comfortable.
May I watch my student perform? Absolutely! If you want to make to the drive to Ren Fest to watch your student perform, you can.
